EPF Contribution

  • just read in the news that the Govt is allowing employees to reduce their contribution from 11% to 8%
  • Finance Minister said "Assuming that only 50% of contributors take up the option, private spending is expected to go up by RM2.4bil".
  • private spending is expected to go up, that's for sure
  • but are we getting more (in quantity) necessities like food with the extra spending?
  • might not even be enough to cover the inflation as prices of goods have gone so high lately
  • what about our saving in EPF?
  • lesser saving, lesser dividend
  • are you taking this option?
